HELP US GROW
Individuals are our largest revenue source. Frankie’s Friends must continue to grow our support base of individuals through online and direct giving, and events.
Frankie’s Friends provides hope for families who are simply unable to pay for a serious illness or injury requiring specialty care.
While many charitable organizations provide care for wildlife, strays, abused animals, or relinquished and abandoned pets, few exist for the large number of pets from otherwise loving and responsible families who cannot afford the cost of care.
Your gift to Frankie’s Friends Hope Fund assists families who demonstrate substantial financial need and whose pets would have a good prognosis for long-term recovery to a normal quality of life.
Funding is limited to donations
Funding is available only through donations. When the fund is out of money, no grants are made.
Who qualifies for Hope Fund support?
Pets with life-threatening illness or injury must be recommended for Hope Fund support by their attending veterinarians.
What kind of care qualifies for support?
When funds are available, Hope Funds are used when a necessary specialty therapy or emergency care would otherwise be impossible financially. Financial support may be given to families who demonstrate substantial financial need and whose pets would have a good prognosis from a single intervention for long-term recovery to a normal quality of life.
If there is enough money in the Hope Fund to provide grants to qualifying families, the hospital and attending veterinarian also must contribute to the case.
Frankie’s Friends does not fund primary care such as ear infections, teeth cleaning, spay/neuter, vaccinations and preventative care. Frankie’s Friends also does not provide funding for treatment of chronic diseases or medications to support lifelong ailments.
