Similar to the National Frankie’s Friends Fund, the Hope Funds are used to help save pets’ lives by providing grants to assist with the cost of life-saving or life-enhancing emergency or specialty care for pets whose families cannot afford the full cost of treatment. However, Hope Funds are only available at specific specialty and emergency veterinary hospitals that have established a partnership with Frankie’s Friends.
Financial support may be given to families who demonstrate substantial financial need and whose pets would have a good prognosis from a single intervention for long-term recovery to a normal quality of life. In addition to Frankie’s Friends’ support, qualifying families are responsible for a portion of the treatment costs for their pets. The veterinary hospitals at which the pets are treated also assist by giving discounts.
Frankie’s Friends does not fund primary care, preventative care, vaccinations, diagnostic testing, or treatment of chronic diseases or medications to support lifelong ailments. Hope Funds are used specifically for the treatment of life threatening conditions.
If you are interested in applying for Hope Funds, you will need to have your pet seen and assessed at one of our partnering veterinary hospitals first to determine eligibility. To preview or to download a list of our partnering hospitals please click the form below.
