VETERINARY STUDENT EXTERNSHIPS

Funded externships at for underrepresented minority students in their third/fourth years of veterinary school at Tuskegee.

Program Description

Two-week clinical rotations at the specialty and/or emergency veterinary hospital in the location of the student’s choice expose veterinary students to the real-world of veterinary medicine. Students have the opportunity to be mentored by senior clinicians in specialty and emergency fields. For many students, the cost of accommodations during externships presents a barrier. In partnership with an anonymous donor who made the initial donation, externships are being made available to underrepresented minority students in their third or fourth year of veterinary school at Tuskegee University.
