Receiving assistance from Frankie’s Friends lifts a weight off my shoulders during a very difficult time. As someone working in the service industry during its slowest season, I was truly unsure how I would afford the care Sitka urgently needs. Your kindness makes it possible for him to have the surgery that will relieve his pain and give him the chance to live a happy, comfortable life again.

Until the midnight panic of attempting to find treatment options I didn’t know this program existed, but I greatly appreciate the opportunity to be considered for this life saving treatment for Twin. The fact that so many people care for and donate to help fund this program is amazing. I don’t know where I, or Twin, would be without this opportunity!

Thank you for helping Goldie!

After multiple vets — including her orthopedic surgeon — looked her over, they all agreed her injury was probably older than that. Her body had already started forming muscle contracture trying to deal with a complete humerus fracture. This poor girl has definitely been hurting for a bit. The good news? Surgery with the incredible Dr. Megan Sawyer went super smoothly! Goldie is now back in her foster home, comfy on good meds, getting cold compresses, and will start some gentle range-of-motion therapy soon.
