Frankie’s Friends helped Lola receive an emergency enucleation.
“Lola has suffered an unexpected injury while I was away at school. I attend school 3 days out of the week and the other days I have free I am a full-time caregiver to my disabled son and my time is filled with him at his therapies. It has been hard to find a job that will accommodate this schedule.
My son and I have been surviving on my son’s monthly SSI check and a little bit of help from my mother, but even with that, the check goes on the bills and anything my son needs, and I am constantly being threatened with eviction. I have no income to cover the unexpected surgery for my cat Lola and this grant would help save Lola and mean a lot to me.
I want to thank the donors who have helped Lola get her life back. I left Lola in the care of someone I trusted and to come back home and find her eye in this condition has truly shaken me to my core. Our lives have not been the same since this incident, and I really pray every day that Lola can get the treatment and care she needs.
