Frankie’s Friends helped Beans receive an enucleation due to glaucoma.

My son really wanted a tuxedo cat when he was a little boy. One day, his sister came home with “Beans” whom she got from a friend who had rescued some feral kittens and needed to rehome. He was so excited. Beans has been a best friend ever since. The kids love to cuddle and play with him and he has become a great snuggler with their Mom.

His eye became problematic a little over a year ago. He had not responded to topical treatments and his eye really started to degrade recently. When he started to hide away from us, we knew things were getting worse, so we got him into the vet ASAP. We knew from prior vet visits that we might have to have his eye removed, but we hoped for the best. We did not want to put Beans to sleep. We had to put our dog, Jackson, to sleep last year and it was really hard on everyone, but he was old, and it was understandable. Beans was not old and this would be devastating.

We decided to do whatever we could to absorb the cost, but we had to think twice when we got a real figure. The vet visit was already really expensive, and the additional surgical cost was way beyond our expectations. Luckily, our vet informed us to some alternative care and financial aid options, and we learned about your organization and Care Credit.

We Know Beans could have a successful surgery and be with us for many more years. His older brother Paco is already twice his age. Our family is greatly appreciative of the help you provided us. Thank you so much for your consideration for people and pets in need of support.
