Frankie’s Friends’ Crucial Care fund helped George receive urgently needed surgery for a prostatic abscess at EPIC Specialty and Emergency Pet Care in Tampa, FL.
“Having volunteered for Frankie’s Friends as a past employee of [hospital name removed for privacy], I never thought I would be on this side of need. My job was eliminated after 25 years. I know the wonderful work Frankie’s Friends has done since the beginning of the charity. I was there in the beginning of Frankie’s Friends and helped with many functions, booths, events, etc.
Just prior to my elimination, we had a stray dropped off. We did all the usual things to locate the owners, check for chip, put on HSTB website, local flyers, neighborhood app, etc. He had to have emergency surgery for an eye removal in November prior to my departure. We did not get around to neutering him prior due to the eye issue then and then being diagnosed with cancer myself. Its been a tough year. With George, not being neutered, he now has swollen prostate due to an abscess.
I really appreciate this assistance. Thanks for everything you and Frankie’s Friends has done and do for pet families; I know what it has taken for you to build it to this point.
UPDATE: George is feeling much better after his surgery! 😊”
