“Thank you to Frankie’s Friends and the generous donors helping Abby get the surgery she needs. Abby is 10 years old, but she still has so much life left in her. Our four children have had her for all or most of their lives, and she is such a loved part of our family.
Abby has never been sick before, so learning that she needed surgery to remove a mammary tumor was overwhelming. I reached out to so many organizations, tried CareCredit, and started a GoFundMe, but nothing provided the help we needed. Many organizations could not help because the cost was too high or their funding was already stretched thin. Every rejection was heartbreaking, but it also opened my eyes to how many families need help with veterinary expenses and how difficult it can be to afford these surgeries, even when you would do anything for your pet.
Without this assistance, I would not be able to get Abby the care she needs. Your generosity means we can move forward after so many attempts and so much worry. It gives us hope for more time with her and more years for our children to make memories with the dog who has been beside them for so much of their childhood.
