Frankie’s Friends helped Karat receive an urgent tumor removal surgery.
“Karat is more than our dog — he is our family’s guardian angel. He has lived through two wars with us, staying calm and steady by our side even during shelling, helping to soothe and comfort our children when they were most afraid. He traveled across Europe, crossed an entire ocean, and then journeyed all the way across America — from Boston to Seattle — never once leaving our side, especially my little daughter’s.
As a puppy, Karat was nearly euthanized because of Wobbler syndrome. Six years ago, veterinarians told us he had only one year left to live. Yet here he is today, still with us, still watching over our family through everything we have survived together.
