Frankie’s Friends’ Crucial Care Fund helped Reeses receive surgery so he can live pain free.

“I was never planning to adopt a dog.
As a single mother raising three minor children with disabilities, adding ‘another mouth to feed’ also means adding another expense. I knew that, financially, bringing a dog into our family would be a big responsibility.
But one day, we went to an adoption fair, and everything changed.
When my daughter saw Reese’s, she immediately fell in love with her. My daughter is Deaf/Hard of Hearing, as are all three of my children, and somehow, she and Reese’s connected almost instantly. There was something very special between them that I cannot fully put into words.
Reese’s quickly became part of our family, and our family dynamic is a little unique. She learned basic signs in American Sign Language (ASL) surprisingly quickly. Although Reese’s is my daughter’s Emotional Support Animal (ESA), she interacts with all three of my children and understands basic commands in ASL. She has become a source of comfort, companionship, and unconditional love for all of us.
Reese’s was only a puppy when she came into our lives, and she was in very bad shape. We wanted to give her the love, safety, and care she deserved—and in return, she has given our family so much more than we ever expected.
Today, Reese’s is not simply a dog we adopted. She is family.
I deeply appreciate any donation, help, or support that can help us continue providing Reese’s with the care she needs. As a single mother, every expense matters, and any contribution—big or small—truly makes a difference.
Most importantly, I want people to understand why Reese’s means so much to us. She found my daughter, and in many ways, she found all of us. She has become an important part of our home, our lives, and our hearts.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting Reese’s and our family. ❤️”
