Frankie’s Friends helped Carly receive an urgent surgery on her leg so she can live pain free.
“There aren’t enough words to be able to express my gratitude for Frankie’s Friends. Carly came into our lives almost a year ago. She was taken from a rescue that was not taking proper care of the dogs they had. Prior to that Carly lived in an abusive home. Carly was timid, afraid of noise and sudden movements and had a sadness about her. I had personally gone through some medical issues that left me overwhelmed and sad. I know this is cliche but Carly and I were meant for each other. Carly has come so far - I live in an apartment complex and everyone is always commenting on how far Carly has come. She is more confident, she wags her tail, she is still slow to take to new people but she lets them approach her and give her a pet and she is happy! Carly gave me focus and purpose which helped me move forward. When Carly hurt her leg the fear was immediate. I knew it was not good. I was terrified at the diagnosis and the cost that may be associated with it. Without help my options would be to have Carly put down, relinquish her or let her suffer. These choices were not an option and I was determined to find a way to help my girl. Carly is loved by my kids, granddaughters and friends. My 10 year old granddaughter lives with me and she just adores Carly. Carly loves when Dani takes her for walks and hangs out with her in bed. My 3 year old granddaughter asks about Carly all the time when I go to her house to visit. We would all be empty and miss Carly terribly if we had to make a decision that would prevent me from keeping Carly. I honestly would love to be able to meet all the donors and give them a humongous hug. From the bottom of my heart I thank you.”
