Frankie’s Friends helped Aerys receive an urgent oral tumor removal surgery.
“To those who’ve considered helping Aerys, you don’t know how much it means to have extra time with him. This dog has been my best friend since he came home, and when I went through an extremely hard divorce five years ago, he was what got me through it. He helped me find myself again, and my independence. He provided a distraction through the first nights without my children when they were with their dad, and he helped me meet so many amazing people in the world of dogs. We’ve been to Westminster twice with our flyball team, we’ve driven hours together just to run a few minutes of FastCAT. He’s taught me so much about how to have fun with the simple things. I am so so so grateful that you’ve given me the opportunity to have more time with him, to do more of the things he loves. I will never be able to explain just how much Aerys means to me. He’s more than a pet, he’s a beloved family member, who’s so loud and loving. He’s given so many people a new view on German shepherds because of how much he loves. We regularly joke that he’s a golden retriever in a German shepherd body. Thank you for giving me more time with my best boy.”
