Frankie’s Friends helped Laci receive urgent care for a prolapse.
“Laci is not just my dog- she is literally my everything. She came into our lives during a season of both great joy and deep loss. Laci was a gift to my daughter when she was just days away to give birth to my first granddaughter, a time that should have been filled only with excitement as our family grew. My son-in -law named her Laci, not knowing that this was also my sister’s name.
My sister’s given name was Laci (though everyone knew her as Charsey), was dying during that same time. It was so sudden and unexpected. Just 4 days after my granddaughter was born, my sister passed away and a piece of my heart left with her. While my daughter was in the hospital awaiting the new addition, I was the one who kept Laci - and from that moment on my daughter never got her dog back, and in many ways, it felt as though Laci knew i needed her. She became my constant compassion, my comfort, and my connection to my sister’s memory.
Laci has been with me through grief, healing, and the hardest moments of my life. She has given me unconditional love when I felt broken and alone. Now, she needs me and I am doing everything I can be there for her the way she has been there for me.
Recently, I lost my job and have had to move back in with my mother. The financial strain has been overwhelming, and despite my best efforts, I am unable to cover the cost of the care Laci needs on my own. means more than words can express.
I am deeply grateful for the work you do and for the consideration you can offer. Please know that your compassion gives families like mine hope during their darkest moments.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read our story.”
