To say my heart broke and my world turned upside down would be an understatement. One of the mantras I live by is, “I don’t need easy, I just need possible.” Because of fellow dog lovers like you who share the mission to “Paw it Forward,” you gave me the gift of “possible” I needed to help Anya receive the chemotherapy treatments and targeted therapies she needs to keep living her life to the fullest.
The best way to describe Anya is that she is “My Heart with Fur”. For the last nine years, she has been more than a pet; she is my best friend and my family. Anya has been a real trooper since her diagnosis. She’s still the same happy girl—playing with toys, visiting friends, going for walks, and swimming. Most of all, she still loves finding a good mud puddle to lay in.
She has been the light that got me through the trials of my own life. Now, it is my turn to be her guiding light so she can keep experiencing the things she loves.
