Clarice’s diagnosis was one of my worst nightmares come true. I had never heard her meow in pain and the sound alone brought tears to my eyes. She is my best friend, my heart, my muse. I didn’t know how, but I knew I had to get her treatment. I owed her that.

Clarice is already back to herself after two chemo treatments. She meows because she’s hungry and it’s time to wake up. She runs to greet me at the door. She snores softly asleep in my lap. These are the moments with her I’ll never take for granted.
