Frankie’s Friends’ Vet Care for Rescues Grant Program helped Funshine receive an urgent enucleation due to a ruptured eye.
“This year has brought challenges unlike anything we’ve experienced before. The number of critically ill kittens needing intensive medical care has stretched our resources further than ever, forcing us to make difficult decisions that go against the very reason we exist.
We’re still saying “yes” whenever we can and are taking in kittens, providing lifesaving care, and supporting our shelter partners, but the reality is that we’ve had to scale back the number of medical cases we accept because we simply do not have the funding to sustain the level of care we’ve been able to provide in previous years.
As a small rescue, any funding provided will be so helpful in allowing us to continue doing the lifesaving work for kittens like Funshine that we are all so passionate about. Thank you for your consideration.”
