Albert was a beloved family member for eighteen wonderful years. He lived with kidney disease for seven years, and while it took a toll on his health, Albert never lost his zest for life. He continually re-invented ways of enjoying his passions. Playing was his favorite activity, including “jump the tunnel,” pouncing and chasing wand toys, hidey hole, and spirited wrestling matches with his dearly departed cat brother, Oliver.

Albert loved exploring outside on his leash. He enjoyed spying on the neighborhood, smelling and eating catnip, roosting on stick piles, and nestling in cypress bushes. Albert was a master grasshopper hunter, chomped corn on the cob, and gave skull crushing head-butts. He also enjoyed a good snooze deep under the covers, on the top of a pillow, or the crook of an arm.

Special thanks to the skilled surgeons and vet techs at BluePearl in Eden Prairie, Minnesota for the PU surgery in 2013 which gave Albert a second lease on life. Heartfelt appreciation and thanks to Dr. Jen Kokes and the amazing staff at All About Pets in Golden Valley for their kindness to Albert and compassion in treating him.

Albert, you’ll always be our hero. Love you, Big Orangie.
