Frankie’s Friends’ Vet Care for Rescues Grant Program helped Veronica receive urgently needed surgery for mastitis that ruptured causing open infected wounds.

We knew this sweet, young mother (2 years old) not only deserved our help but would likely be euthanized if we could not commit to intaking her. We can only imagine how much Veronica has suffered already and we want nothing more than to give this girl a chance at a happier life where she is loved and gets to experience being part of a family that cares for her. Veronica deserves that opportunity and we know that everyone who hears her story and sees her photos would be so grateful that she received help and doesn’t have to die in pain after already having her puppies taken away and being tossed aside like garbage.

She came in with a terrible case of mastitis that abscessed and ruptured. She had open sores and was super skinny. She likely had a litter of puppies and was then dumped. Her case has been expensive but we know her health and well being are worth every penny.

Veronica wows everyone she meets with her friendliness. And that’s before they hear her about the near-death experience that brought her to Animal Aid. After being dumped with a horrible infection that no one was sure she would survive, she is now completely healthy! Veronica is a dog that will make you smile every time you look at her. She is a sweet, happy, goofy gal looking for someone to show her what a loving home is supposed to be.

Special thanks to Frankie’s Friends for providing a grant to help with Veronica’s initial veterinary costs.
