Frankie’s Friends’ Joshua Louis Animal Cancer Fund helped Sleepy receive chemotherapy.

Sleepy is a once-in-a-lifetime cat. He is my best friend. He is smart as hell, even though he often uses that brainpower for evil. He has absolutely no understanding of personal space but he is so soft and fluffy that it simply does not matter. He is weirdly emotionally intelligent. He is a glutton and a cuddlebug and an effective alarm clock and a huge man, like just a structurally enormous cat, but with the tiniest, highest-pitched voice, and he uses that voice almost as much as I use mine. He advocates for himself almost as much as I advocate for myself. He is almost as social as I am. I think I’m trying to say that this cat was made for me. And I don’t know how many more living beings I am going to click with in my lifetime in the way I have clicked with this cat. I need him to survive, and I am so endlessly grateful to everyone who helps his survival. Asking for help feels impossible sometimes, but with foundations like Frankie’s Friends folks like me with minimal safety nets & savings have caring donors to catch us at our lowest, and to save the creates that matter to us most.
