Frankie’s Friends helped Hollis receive a tail amputation surgery.
“Our beautiful cat Hollis/Bengal isn’t just a pet, she is our family’s rock. She is an emotional support animal for myself, a single dad, and my 16-year-old daughter. But right now, she needs our help, and we cannot do it alone.
Her life started out tragically. We found her as a tiny, frail kitten, starving and with her eyes glued shut from infection, stranded on a freezing bridge. Her tail was severely crooked, likely from being hit by a car or caught in a door. We took her in, gave her a second chance, and watched her blossom into a beautiful and deeply loving companion.
Recently, I was diagnosed with liver disease, making me feel constantly ill and unable to go to work. Through all my own health struggles, she has been my constant comfort. She is now facing a heartbreaking new emergency. Her old tail injury never healed properly, half her tail fell off, and has become severely infected. The bone is visible and the vet has warned us that if she does not get immediate tail amputation surgery, the infection will reach her spinal cord and cause irreversible damage.
It breaks our hearts to think of her suffering after she has already overcome so much. We are pleading for assistance to help cover her emergency amputation so she can live out her life pain-free and continue to provide the emotional support that keeps our family going. Please help us give her the third chance she so deeply deserves.”
