In Loving Memory of Jackson

“I rescued Jackson from a shelter in April 2016. All of mine and my family’s dogs have been rescues as we’ve always liked giving dogs a second chance and a better life. At first, I overlooked Jackson at the shelter, but as I was walking through the shelter he had actually picked me. Im glad he did because little did I know he was my best friend I hadn’t met yet. He became a hit very quickly with the other dogs at home, the family, friends and all the neighbors. He loved everyone and making new friends everywhere he went. He loved his walks, chewing on his kongs with peanut butter, going for hikes and swims but nothing topped his love for ice cream. Jackson was the dog version of me. Active, wild and fun and always making people laugh. He knew what time I got home from work and would sit at the door staring at it waiting patiently for me to walk in. He truly was a very good dog who deserved a second chance at life and to have a good home and family. I had Jackson just shy of 4 years when he suddenly got ill and had been rushed to the emergency room. They found a bleeding tumor around his heart. We got it drained and bought a few more days with him in which he got extra spoiled. Walks around the park, ice cream, seeing all his favorite people, everything to make him feel extra loved and special. Jacskon passed away on my dad’s birthday in February just 2 weeks before mine in 2020. Im so glad to have met and rescued Jackson as he turned out to be my best buddy. After his passing, eventrally I rescued Jonas from the same shelter who I currently have. Jonas has had numerous health issues since rescuing but he is also my buddy and very much like Jackson. I lucked out with 2 very good rescues and made life long buddy’s from the 2 of them. I found Frankies in 2023 when they helped me in a time of need with A knee replacement for Jonas after him already having thousands in vet bills from allergies and inflammatory bowel disease. Frankie’s helped me in a time of need and I will always be grateful of that and do what I can to spread the word and be a long term supporter of them. ”
