Dear Frankie's Friends and Zeus Varis Foundation, At this time, I would like to thank you for the grant and financial assistance awarded me for the care and welfare of my cat, Queenie.

Desert is a unique dog, to say the least. Born with a broken tail that curves around in the shape of a question mark, he is blind (the result of a congenital defect) and his favorite food is a ripe banana. He sleeps on his back, paws propped against the closest wall or doorway, where he is often found “impeding traffic” as his human mom says.

Vinny was recently treated at BluePearl veterinary offices. He had a blockage in his intestines and the surgery was going to cost too much and this non-profit organization has helped in the greatest deal possible. Vinny (which is short for Vincent Van Gogh-Cat because he is missing part of his ear) is my best friend and I don’t know where I would be without him. He has been by my side for a year a half now and I couldn’t bear to be without him.

I lived in France, in Paris. I left my family, my friends, and my career to live on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean ... in New York. I left everything except for my cat Mona.

Now that Poof and Cyclops are doing well and safely home, we wanted to use this opportunity to share our story. Having learned the hard way about the proper pet-specific use of flea products, we wanted to remind everyone how important it is to only use those products specifically made for cats on cats and conversely products for dogs on dogs.

“Baby" and I would like to say thank you for your love and support. I had Baby since she was a kitten and it scared me to death to know that she was very sick. I took her to Blue Pearl Emergency Vet Hospital and explained the situation. Knowing my financial problems, they didn't turn us away and took us in with open arms.

Jax, our 16-week old Australian Shepherd puppy, was a spur of the moment addition to our family. We had talked at length about a therapy dog for my daughter who was born with a seizure disorder, so I finally decided to just do it and went with her on my day off to pick out our new family addition.

Xena, a 12-year old chow chow mix,came into her humanmom’s life by chance, but quickly became a best friend, protector, comforter and joyful companion. While out of town visiting her terminally ill father, she learned that Xena stopped eating and began vomiting. Xena had a painful condition where the gallbladder becomes obstructed and can rupture. Surgery was needed and with treatment Xena could expect a full recovery.

I am glad that Frankie's Friends chosed to help both me and Prince.  I am forever grateful.

Without your assistance I would have had to put Opey down. It's really that simple. Frankie’s Friends wasn’t just helpful, they were one of the main trusses in a support system that saved my little buddy’s life. He is a young boy with at least 10 years of life ahead of him. You helped give him a full life. I cannot tell you how grateful we are!!

My many thanks to you and your organization for helping me save my 5 year old, double dapple Doxie named Sophie. When Sophie ruptured a disc, the wonderful vets at BluePearl Veterinary in NYC worked with her, and realized she would need sugery to correct the problem. Thanks to your organization helping me out financially I was able to afford to have the surgery done and she is is home, tail wagging and, while she may still walk like a drunken sailor on shore leave, she is walking on her own.

Dear Frankie's Friends, Mya came into our lives 5 years ago when she was weeks old. Since that day she has been our life. Our world shattered when we found out she was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer because we knew we could not afford chemotherapy. Thanks to everyone at Frankie's Friends our baby has another chance! Words cannot express the level of gratitude we feel to be able to get Mya her treatment.

Thank you SOOOO much for your generous gift that allowed our puppy to be operated on. He would probably not have survived. He is such a big part of our family and greatly loved.

Thank you so much for your help. Willie was just short of three years old when he contracted lymphoma. While Willie is not technically a rescue dog, I am his second owner due to his first owner's problems in properly caring for him. Of course, every dog owner has the best pooch in the world, and I am no exception. Willie is smart, handsome, obedient (most of the time), popular with other dogs, playful, athletic, and the most affectionate male dog I have ever known.

Thank you for your help in joining the crew who paid for my surgery. I feel pretty awful right now but I know that eventually I will be out chasing birds again. I want to express my gratitude for the help we have received from this amazing foundation Frankie's Friends. Mindy is a very special pet to us. She's more than just a pet she is a part of the union which makes our family.

At just four pounds, Jojo, a 3½-year-old Chihuahua, is proof that tremendous love comes in small packages. Far from the stereotypical little dog with a big attitude, Jojo is an even-tempered sweetheart who loves to explore outdoors and sticks to her family like glue. When the little dog started acting out of sorts and then stopped eating, her family became worried.

Thank you for helping me with funding for my family member "Rain" who has been in my family since he was two months old. I don't know what I would have done without your help. Rain means the world to me and my family.

Frankie's Friends, Where do I start? Almost six years ago my husband and I welcomed a new family member into our lives. He was a 38lb ball of fluff that would change our lives forever and his name was Bruno. It was love at first sight and a relationship that we knew would grow into something special. We both knew that we would have challenges and expense's that were going to be double what most would pay because he was going to be big. What we did not know is that we were going to run into hard financial times.
